“I am lost to Likes” is a poem by one of the great Korean Sijo poets, Kim Kwang’uk, 1580-1656. Not much seems to have changed from then to nowadays with our compulsive screen swiping and dreams of online fame and fortune. The poem is shown in English and Korean.
"I am lost to likes;
to fame and riches I am lost.
I am utterly lost
to a wealth of worldly strings.
Now that I am lost to my own self
why should others not forget me?"
This tablet-size artist book interpretation uses type moire motiongrams to visualize it. It is a text-driven book and the stanzas require reader interaction to work as intended. Swiping, actually.
