drypoint of a man sitting in a chair
A drypoint is an intaglio print in which the lines are scratched with varying pressure into the plate without the help of any acid. The resulting line leaves a burr of plate material on top of the printmaking plate which will hold additional ink. It leads to a rich and somewhat fuzzy line.
