Threadsuns is titled after a poem by Paul Celan and is a woodblock print carved from solid birch. The sun was carved from linoleum, another common relief printmaking material. The print was cut appart after printing and then reassembled. It is an homage to and cut after the style of the great Belgian anti-war artist and printmaker Frans Masereel.
